River Manager

Dr Philippa Noon

The River Manager was appointed in 2006, taking on the roles of Clerk and Engineer/Control Officer to the Conservators. She is based at Baits Bite Lock and can be contacted by telephone, fax and email during office hours. (see details below). Deputy River Manager

The Deputy River Manager provides administrative support and is based at Baits Bite Lock (see above). He is the principal point of contact for registration enquiries.

River Foreman

Colin Sparkes

The River Foreman is based at the Conservators' House at Clayhithe, Horningsea. He is responsible for carrying-out the day-to-day river maintenance operations and overseeing the river team.

Deputy Foreman

Ralph Honey

The Deputy River Foreman assists the Foreman in undertaking river maintenance operations. He is a familiar sight driving the Berky Weed Harvester on the River.

River Bailiff

Adrian Hoyes

The River Bailiff covers the full length of the Conservancy area, from Byron's Pool to Bottisham Lock, checking boat registrations, dealing with mooring issues, undertaking tree surveys, clearing large obstructions and monitoring breaches of Conservancy byelaws. Normally based at Jesus Lock but also works out of Clayhithe main depot in the Winter.
